Doh! Just read your article in Game Daily and had to say that I have been saying the same thing for years! My motivations are a little differnt than yours - I basically suck at hard core videogames (thank god for the casual revolution is all I can say - I actually enjoy playing games again) and I have no patience (or time) to get good enough to get through all the boss battles, tedious collection crap, or whatever. I know that’s supposed to be the “fun” of it, but there are a lot of times I want (or given the fact I work in the game industry, need) to see what happens at level 59 or whatever but I never get there and it’s immensely frustrating. Anyway, you touched a positive nerve with me - I’m sure hellfire will rain down upon you from many corners of the industry for your “heresy” but you have at least one suporter in me.
